1 million Canvas smartphone sales of Micromax

  • The manufacturer set the foundation of this series with the A100 which at approximately Rs. 10,500, offered a 5-inch screen estate along with Android Ice Cream Sandwich and a Cortex A5 processor clocked at 1GHz. Looks like the production of the smartphone however, has been stopped permanently.
  •  Second in the series, this device bagged in a 5-inch display similar to the aforementioned gadget, but gave shelter to a dual core MediaTek CPU. It began shipping with Android ICS, although it received a Jelly Bean update last month.
  •  The handset is currently residing in various stores across the country and can be purchased at Rs. 10,999.Riding on the success of these two phones, the manufacturer then decided to try its luck once again with the A116 HD. To shake things up, it wished to place before customers a smartphone housing a Mediatek-crafted quad core chipset at a surprisingly less amount of Rs. 13,990.
  • While the Micromax Canvas HD is still basking in the glory, the conglomerate seems to have two more smartphones up its sleeve. Rumors of a particular A115 3D had earlier crept out, stating that it is preparing to land in shopping outlets with a 5-inch screen showing off 3D images on its UI. Although the company hasn’t verified its existence just yet, it can now be seen on some online stores.
